Content creators have a right to stay safe and happy on OnlyFans and the system is built with security in mind. To start with, because OnlyFans is a subscription site, only people who pay your chosen subscription site will be able to fully access your page. This means that only people who really want to see your content will pay to subscribe, saving you from much of the harassment on fully-public social media sites.
Even so, things happen. Fans cross lines. Content gets reposted without permission. People try to break into accounts. However, OnlyFans has features and procedures to stop these things from happening and there also steps you can take to protect yourself. Here’s how to stay safe and happy on OnlyFans.
Protecting your content
User content belongs to users. The OnlyFans Terms of Service prohibits redistributing content from the site that is not your own. Taking content from an OnlyFans creator and posting it on another website is something we take very seriously. If your content does get pirated, you can email email@example.com and our staff will assist you.
There are ways you can protect yourself from having your content stolen in the first place. One such way is to watermark your content. By default, this is switched on for everything you post, but you have the option to turn it off.
Two step authentication
If your OnlyFans is a significant part of your livelihood, the thought that someone could break in and mess around with your account is a nightmare. For an extra level of protection, we recommend all users to set up two-step verification for their account. You can easily connect your Authenticator App to your OnlyFans profile by going to your Advanced Settings page. After you do this, it will only be possible to login to your account by confirming the secret code from the app or a confirmation email, making it that much more difficult for someone to break into your account.
Though it pays to build strong relationships with your fans, occasionally they will cross the line from dedication into harassment. If a subscriber is making you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, you have the right to block them. There are three ways you can block users on OnlyFans: by username, IP address and by country.
The easiest way to block a fan is by username. From your dashboard click on your profile and then on your fans. If you click on the three vertical dots on the right of a fan’s profile, you will see the option to block that user.
You can also Geo Block and block by IP address, which might be appropriate in some situations. Go to settings, and then to security. You will see a drop-down menu of countries you can choose to block, and a field to enter an IP address.
If you need help
There are many things you can do to keep yourself safe and happy on OnlyFans, but for the occasions you need help, OnlyFans have a support team ready to assist you. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org or send a message to the support team on Twitter.
