What Is Pro Padel?

To put it simply, padel combines some of the best elements of tennis and squash. Played on a walled court that’s roughly one-third the size of a traditional tennis court, padel players use solid paddles (like in pickleball) instead of strung racquets (like in tennis).

In tennis, players hit the ball over a net to score points. In padel, however, the gameplay is much more dynamic, despite having a similar scoring system. Typically competing in doubles, padel players use the walls of the court to rally the ball back and forth, much like racquetball. This results in longer, more exciting rallies and requires players to be more strategic in their play.

Although the ball is nearly identical to a tennis ball, padel players use much less force to move it around the court. With underhand serves, padel is a sport that’s easy to pick up but incredibly difficult to master.

Padel's Rising Popularity

Padel may be the “fastest-growing sport in America” in 2024, but its origins date back to Mexico in the 1960s. Enrique Corcuera, a wealthy businessman living in Acapulco, was looking for a less strenuous way to play tennis without sacrificing excitement and skill. Soon, padel was born.

By the 1970s, padel had spread from Mexico to Spain and Argentina. Before long, athletes throughout Latin America and Europe were playing padel seriously.

After the newly-formed International Padel Federation held the very first Padel World Championship in 1992, padel’s reach had spread across the globe. Spanish athletes like Sanz, Castelló, and Iglesias represent the current vanguard of professional padel and are some of the sport’s biggest ambassadors.

Jessica Castelló @jess.castello

Jessica Castelló started playing competitive racquet sports early in life. As a talented student-athlete in Spain, Jessica dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player. Then, at age 19, Jessica discovered padel and the rest is history.

Currently ranked 12th in the world, Jessica’s style showcases the power of accuracy over strength and speed. Known for quickly identifying and then taking advantage of flaws in her opponents’ techniques, Jessica is considered one of the most frustrating players to play against.

On her OnlyFans profile, Jessica offers fans a personal look into her life and career. Whether she’s simply washing her car, traveling across Europe, or training hard for a tournament, Jessica brings fans along for every moment.

Recently, Jessica shared that she and her team reached the Genova Premier Padel quarterfinals. Subscribe now to keep up with her progress and cheer them on.

Victoria Iglesias @v_iglesias94

Like Jessica, Victoria Iglesias started her career playing traditional tennis. But when a professional career didn’t materialize by young adulthood, Victoria set her sights on padel instead. Fortunately for her, Victoria’s mother and sister were experienced padel instructors at the time.

Now, with nearly 400 professional games under her belt, Victoria is currently ranked the world’s 19th-best padel player. She’s known for going on the attack early in matches and often wins by cornering and overwhelming her opponents on the court with her “perfect backhand shot.”

In 2023, Victoria suffered an ankle injury that sidelined her for a couple of months. However, she has since made a complete recovery and is currently at the top of her game.

While Victoria is fierce on the court, her OnlyFans profile offers fans a glimpse of her less competitive side. In between matches, Victoria is out having fun jet skiing in Dubai, showing off her latest looks, and, of course, training.
