An important part of a safe and enjoyable online experience is adhering to the Terms of Service (TOS) set out by the platforms you use. These are put in place to ensure the safety and happiness of all users. OnlyFans allows users to restrict or block others to keep themselves and their content safe. However, OnlyFans also allows reporting of other users and their content to help ensure the safety and happiness of both yourself and the wider OnlyFans community.
For that reason, it is important that all of our users know how to recognize, protect themselves from, and report any potentially TOS violating behaviour they might encounter whilst using our platform. Here’s a guide to reporting on OnlyFans.
When should I think of reporting someone on OnlyFans?
When using OnlyFans, it is important to remember that all users agree to our terms of service in order to use our platform.
Whether it’s through direct message (DM) conversations with a user, viewing a creator’s content, or a specific post, there are several situations that justify reporting a user, a post, or a particular message.
Something you should report can be defined as anything (user, content, specific message or post) that qualifies as one or more of the below:
- Offensive/TOS Violating
- Stolen Material (DMCA)
For full details on what classifies as any of the above, please see our acceptable use policy. We ask that, in addition to considering our terms of service, that you trust your instinct and always report something if it doesn’t seem or feel right.
Just because someone isn’t specifically posting offensive, harmful content, or sending abusive messages doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t report them. You can (and should) also report people for spam and/or stolen content. Whilst less malicious, these actions still warrant reporting as they can be harmful to users and the overall community on OnlyFans.
How do I report someone on OnlyFans?
In order to report another user, first, navigate to their profile. Once there, press ‘More’ in the top right-hand corner of their profile (three vertical dots icon), and then from the drop-down menu, select ‘Report’.
To report a specific post, navigate to the post in question then select ‘More’ in the top right-hand corner of the post. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Report’.
To report a specific message, open your chat with the user. Once there, to the right of the message, you will see the ‘More’ icon. Again, select ‘Report’ from the dropdown menu.
When selecting ‘Report’ via any of these methods, you will be prompted with a secondary menu asking you to specify why you are reporting. From the categories, select the one which most appropriately applies and then press ‘Report’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the window to submit the report.
What is stolen content and when should I report it?
Whilst OnlyFans provides a host of features for users to protect their data, and their content, such as adding watermarks, content may on rare occasions end up in the wrong hands, distributed without the original creator’s knowledge or consent.
Stolen content is taken just as seriously as any other breach of our terms of service. If you come across another user sharing someone’s content (e.g. posing as them or simply distributing their content to others) then always make sure to report this using the aforementioned process.
Additionally, if you come across OnlyFans content being shared on other platforms, this is often a case of stolen content and needs to be reported. To do this please contact our DMCA team and if possible, provide links to and/or evidence of the stolen content and where it is being distributed.
What is spam and when should I report it?
Spam is defined as “unwanted, unsolicited digital communication that gets sent out in bulk”. In section 4.12. of our terms of service, we define spam as “content which has the intention or effect of artificially increasing any Creator’s views or interactions, or which is otherwise inauthentic, repetitive, misleading or low quality.”
Spam content can include posts, messages, comments, and user profiles themselves. It is important that users help report content and messages they believe to be spam, in order to help us ensure the best and most authentic experience possible for everyone on our platform.
What happens after reporting someone?
Once you have reported something on OnlyFans, this information is elevated by our Trust and Safety Team, who will investigate your report as a matter of urgency and take the relevant action deemed necessary.
