Why use the scheduling feature?
Planning ahead is an important part of life. You never know what’s around the corner, so it’s always good to think ahead. This definitely applies to creatives. Whether you’re a rising star or just starting out, all creators can benefit from this. Thinking of individual pieces of content one at a time can sometimes be challenging. So, why not plan multiple pieces of content ahead of time? In this post, we’ll be looking at how to use the scheduling feature on OnlyFans – allowing you to plan future content ahead of time, and help you release content consistently for your fans.
If you’ve got the creative itch, then you know how great it feels to strike while the iron is hot. Having multiple ideas for content and wanting to get those ideas out ASAP is one of the true joys of being a creator. But how can this method work to your advantage? At OnlyFans we’re proud to continue to make content creation more convenient than ever with our features on the platform.
How to start
To schedule a post, simply go to the homepage. Add the content you wish to post and click the three dots under ‘Compose new post.’ This will open up more options for you to post content. Here, you will find the calendar icon titled ‘Schedule post.’ Then a window will appear, allowing you to save the post for later or customise the date of your new content release.
Save for later
Clicking ‘Save For Later’ and then clicking ‘Schedule’ will not put the post in your content queue. It will be saved for you to return to, in your queue section at the top right, next to the plus logo. If you click on this, a separate list will be produced, containing all content you have saved but not set a specific time or date for. This may be a useful way to organise future posts before you have decided on an optimal time to post. This could even be a way for you to jot down ideas if you’re short on time, or reminders for you to make specific content in the future. There are so many ways you can use this feature.
Date and time
If you do have a date in mind, confirm a date and click ‘Next.’ When you click this you can then decide on a specific time. This is a great opportunity for you to reach as many of your fans as possible at your convenience. For example, if you live in the UK and a majority of your fans are in the US, perhaps you have to stay up late to release content at a time for them. However, with this feature you can select any time of day and the post will go out automatically.
Queuing content ahead of time also means you can also make changes before the content is released. So, you can adjust the date and time at any point if you like. This flexibility is a great way to ensure your content is being released at exactly the right time and date for you and your fans.
When you are happy with your content, its description, and the release schedule, click the blue ‘Schedule’ button. You will need to press this button if want to do the ‘Save For Later’ option too. Your post will then be saved.
Where to find queued content
All of your scheduled events appear on the right-hand side of your home screen. You can also access this from the calendar icon at the top of the screen. Another way is clicking the ‘Queue’ button from the main left-hand menu. You can then see the full list of all the content you have scheduled for the current month. You can change the format of this from a list to a calendar view by clicking on the calendar icon parallel to the month and year in the heading.
How far can I schedule up to?
You can schedule content over any period of time. The calendar view is a fantastic way to get your future content organised, and encourage you to post regularly in order to keep your OnlyFans account active. For example, if you’ve scheduled five posts in your queue to cover the following month, and you notice that on one week there are two posts and on another week there are none, the calendar view will show this clearly. Based on this, you may decide to move one piece of content. You could then have one post going out during each of those weeks, which is more consistent for your fans.
How this can help?
This can be a huge benefit if you’re taking a holiday or any break from creating new content. The queue feature allows you to be precise in how you release your content, and to time manage more effectively.
You may also decide to release more than one piece of content per day using the scheduling feature. This is no problem at all, as the queue displays this clearly too. In the list mode, you have the specific date appearing on the left-hand side and a list of the content on that day. In the calendar view, you will see a blue bar on the days of the month you have content scheduled for. If there is more than one on each day, a precise number will be displayed on the blue bar.
The scheduling feature can be incredibly helpful for you to organise your future content, help you plan ahead, be consistent with your posting, cover any breaks away, and make it so much easier to maximise your reach.
The customisation options that come available with this feature allows you to post what you want, how you want, and when you want. It helps you to see your profile in a broader context, therefore enabling you to see how all your future content fits in with each other. The more thought you can put into your content, the more fans can connect and engage with your page.
