Creating content when you’re short on time can seem challenging but it doesn’t have to be. Some OnlyFans creators make OnlyFans their full-time job and others balance content creation around other work, caring responsibilities, or whatever else they have going on. Is it possible to become a successful OnlyFans creator if you only have a few hours spare a week? Yes! But to avoid burnout, it’s important to work smart and take advantage of the tools OnlyFans has to offer. Here are a few ideas:
Scheduling Posts and Messages
One of the most useful features for busy OnlyFans creators is the ability to schedule posts days, weeks, or even months in advance. To schedule a post, go to the composer, write your post, attach any media you may want to add and click the calendar icon. A window will open with a calendar where you can pick your post’s publishing date.
You can also schedule direct messages using the same method: create your message and click the calendar icon to schedule when you would like it to go out.
Scheduling is invaluable when you know you’re not going to be able to give your account the attention it needs for a few days, whether that’s because you’re about to have a busy period at your day job, you have a jam-packed weekend with the kids coming up, or you want to utilise that underrated productivity tool known as ‘taking a break.’ Whatever the reason, scheduling content allows you to keep your account running while you get on with other things in your life.
Consider your pricing and your goals
On OnlyFans, you have a lot of pricing options. None are right or wrong, you just have to find what works for you, and be sure to factor how much spare time you have into your considerations.
For example, free OnlyFans accounts often grow quickly and have high follower counts, as it’s less of a risk for potential followers to subscribe without the monthly fee. There are plenty of ways to earn money on free OnlyFans accounts, and a high follower account is great for creators who are looking to grow their online presence. However, more subscribers means more fans to take care of, so if you are short on time be sure to factor this in when you consider whether you should make your OnlyFans account free.
Similarly, a full inbox on OnlyFans is a wonderful thing, it means your fans like you and your content enough to get in touch. At the same time, messages need to be replied to and that can take up time. If you have a free account, you have the option to not accept messages without a tip from followers who you don’t follow back (you can do this in Settings > Chats). This will keep your inbox notifications down and earn you some money in the process, so consider if it will work for you.
Make the most of ephemeral content
When posting on your main feed or making a PPV message, sometimes busy creators can feel pressured to make beautifully polished content with impeccable editing. And while this is wonderful, there is a place for more down-to-earth content on OnlyFans too.
Ephemeral content is content that is only around for a short while. It’s powerful because it is temporary – it can engender a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out) in your followers, making them keep checking your page regularly, lest they miss out on something that won’t be around for long.
So if you can’t manage a post on your feed today, consider posting a story. You’ll most likely feel less pressured to make it perfect and your fans will be happy you’re posting content, even if it’s not on your feed or in their inboxes. The sense of FOMO engendered by this ephemeral content will be useful for your engagement levels too.
Like stories, live-streaming can be a space where authenticity really goes down well. Your fans will be excited by the opportunity to interact with you in real-time and they probably won’t care if you didn’t have time for full makeup that day, or you’re only streaming from your phone.
And, depending on what’s keeping you busy in your offline life, you could kill two birds with one stone and bring your fans along! If you have an interesting day job, or you’re doing a performance, your fans might enjoy watching that on stream.
Go into your vault
If you don’t have time to create new content, take advantage of the content you’ve already made.
You can find your OnlyFans vault by clicking on your profile icon and selecting ‘Vault.’ Your vault stores all content you post on OnlyFans, whether that’s posts, stories, or live-streams. You can then re-use this content however you like. For example, you could share that stream or that story you did last week to your fans who missed out. Or you could do a throwback to a post you made a year ago, or share content to your feed that was previously only in a message.
Creating content when you’re short on time doesn’t have to be as difficult as you might think if you work smart and take advantage of the tools available to you.
