Club América vs. Monterrey (3-2)

Club América faced Monterrey in a thrilling Liga MX final, securing a 3-2 aggregate win. In the first leg, Monterrey’s Sergio Canales opened the scoring with a 25-yard shot.

However, just four minutes later, Club América’s Kevin Álvarez equalized, and Alejandro Zendejas added a second with a brilliant strike after halftime. Despite relentless pressure from Monterrey’s goalkeeper Luis Cárdenas, América’s midfield, led by Jonathan Dos Santos, held firm to seal a 2-1 victory.

In the second leg, Monterrey dominated possession with 71% and launched 20 shots. América struck first, but saw their goal ruled out by VAR

Monterrey responded in the 85th minute and nearly scored the aggregate-tying goal, but hit the crossbar.

However, América held on for the 1-1 draw, clinching a 3-2 aggregate victory and making history as Liga MX’s first-ever three-time consecutive title winner.

Club América vs. Cruz Azul (4-3)

After a dull nil-nil draw in the first semifinal leg, all the excitement was saved for the second. Cruz Azul, tied on aggregate and needing only a draw to advance, faced Club América, who had to secure a win to move forward.

With their backs against the wall, América came out firing on all cylinders. Richard Sánchez delivered a jaw-dropping half-field goal, giving América a welcome two-goal lead.

Cruz Azul, in the midst of a historic campaign, refused to go down quietly, leveling the score with two stunning goals. However, América regained control when Ramón Juárez Del Castillo took a penalty after pushing Érick Sánchez

Ultimately, striker Rodrigo Aguirre stepped up and calmly placed the ball in the left corner, sealing the victory for Club América and sending them into the final.
