Establishing a loyal fanbase is key for long-term success on OnlyFans. However, loyal fanbases don’t happen by accident—they are built with a winning combination of strategy, dedication, and patience. So whether you’re new to being an OnlyFans creator, or are looking to grow your existing subscribership, keep reading for advice on how to build your fanbase on OnlyFans.
Social Media Followers vs. OnlyFans Subscribers
It’s important to remember that there are some major differences between your followers on social media and your OnlyFans subscribers.
For one, social media followers have typically discovered your accounts on their feeds, through an algorithm, a hashtag you’ve used, or a tag from another creator.
On the other hand, your OnlyFans subscribers have made the conscious decision to stay subscribed to your profile month after month.
They have sought out your OnlyFans profile, and have invested their time – and often, their money – in getting to know you on a more personal level.
Consistency + Sponaneity
Fans won’t keep paying for a subscription, or recommend your profile to others, if they can’t count on fresh content on a regular basis.
Sticking to a consistent posting schedule is the best way to build trust with current and potential fans. Whether it’s daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or something in between, make it a goal to post new content at a predictable rate.
Obviously, it can be tough to keep producing high-quality content all year. Fortunately, it’s easy to prepare posts, messages, or streams in advance, then use the ‘Queue’ to post them on schedule.
Once you’ve gotten comfortable with posting consistently, you can begin adding some spontaneity into the mix.
For example, you can go live shortly after your scheduled post drops to hold a Q&A session with your fans about your new content. Or, you can share a story the night before a scheduled post is released to tease the content.
Collaborate With Other Creators
There are many benefits to and methods of collaborating on OnlyFans. Not only is it a great way to expand your creator network, but it’s a fun way to reach potential subscribers.
You and another creator can collaborate in a wide variety of ways on the OnlyFans platform.
First, you can create new content together, tag one another, and schedule the post to go live at the same time.
Collaborating on Pay-Per-View (PPV) Messages is another option. Instead of posting the collab, you and another OnlyFans creator can offer your content as a PPV Message—potentially letting you reach twice as many fans while splitting the earnings.
Finally, co-streaming is a laid-back and easy way to collaborate on OnlyFans. Streaming is already great for letting fans get to know the real you. Co-streaming can be just as fun and effective.
Best of all, it’s super easy to set up a co-stream on OnlyFans.
Engage With Your Fans
Simply put: you are important to your fans, and they want to feel like they’re important to you.
Connections are key in maintaining and building your fanbase on OnlyFans. Many successful creators carve out time just to interact with fans—writing and responding to DMs, liking fans’ comments, shouting out fans in posts, etc.
A great way to start is by setting up a ‘Welcome message’ for new subscribers. It’s an simple, proven method of making new fans feel valued from the instant they subscribe.
Another easy way to start engaging with your fans is through polls. For example, you can poll your subscribers to see what kind of content they’d appreciate seeing from you.
Not only can this help inspire new content ideas for you, but your subscribers will feel like they’ve directly contributed to your creativity. It’s a win-win!
